Staying Sharp as We Age

Staying Sharp as We Age

Learn science-backed strategies for healthy brain aging from a Harvard Medical School neurology professor.

Join Jasmeer Chhatwal, MD, PhD—Associate Professor of Neurology at Harvard Medical School, practicing neurologist at Massachusetts General Hospital and Brigham and Women’s Hospitals, and 2012 American Brain Foundation Next Generation Research Grant Recipient—for science-backed tips on keeping your brain healthy as you age.

You’ll learn what happens in the brain as we age, including changes that are a normal part of aging, and those that may signal something more. Dr. Chhatwal will break down what the science actually says about lifestyle factors such as physical activity, sleep, cardiovascular health, cognitive engagement, and social connection, and how they influence long-term brain health.

Drawing on his research in neuroimaging and Alzheimer’s disease, he’ll also discuss how scientists detect early brain changes, what this research is revealing about cognitive aging, and why early insight matters.

The presentation will conclude with a live Q&A, giving attendees the opportunity to engage directly with one of the leading researchers advancing our understanding of the aging brain. Bring your questions!
